T.G.I.F. Volunteer Recognition Idea #6

Have fabulous volunteers? Struggling to find fun, yet affordable ways to reward them for their service to your organization? Find inspiration in our weekly T.G.I.F. idea. Each Friday, we will highlight creative ideas for a Theme, Gift, Invitation, and Food plan that make for a perfect volunteer recognition event.  Let A Creative Touch inspire your creativity with promotional product ideas that show appreciation to your volunteers!

act-star-key-chainT.= Theme: Our Volunteers Are Rock Stars!

G.= Gift: Give our silver star-shaped key ring to let everyone know that your volunteers are rock stars! These split metal key rings are customizable, too.

I.= Invitation/Décor: Tell everyone to show up to your rockin’ sock hop with a 50s-themed record invitation in retro shades: pink and turquoise, coral and powder blue, or red and white. For a fun treat, even make your invitation in the shape of a record!

When you choose your event decorations, think films like Grease or go for a classic hotrod car theme. A ‘50s rock star party needs the right music: singers like Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, and The Platters set the perfect mood.

F.= Food/Refreshments: Classic diner food is a must for this party: Burgers, fries, milkshakes, sundaes, even Coca-Cola floats, are perfect menu items. If you prefer a ‘50s style home-cooked meal, chose steak or meatloaf-with mashed potatoes, of course!

For a real “blast from the past” that is sure to amuse, whip out those classic molds and serve Jello, just like mom used to make. Looking for a layer cake to make Betty Crocker proud instead? Pineapple Upside Down Cake or Lemon Chiffon Cake has that retro appeal people still love today. No matter what you choose, your guests are sure to “twist” their way to a good time!
